  Applewood Village Plaza in south Mississauga is one of the oldest open shopping centers in the GTA. Now with a brand new premium Longo's Grocery Store (with a Starbucks Coffee Bar inside and a full bakery and cooked food takeout that gets super busy during lunch and supper times) this plaza is a favorite among locals in south Mississauga, Etobicoke and Oakville. Major anchors include the expanded Longo's grocery(Opened spring 2015) that is replacing the longstanding Metro that was there for 20 plus years, a large LCBO, The Beer Store, a Dollarama, a large Shoppers Drug Mart, Shopper's Home Health Care, two banks, a massive Texas Longhorn Steakhouse and Grill (previously Red Lion Bistro bar/restaurant, and California's bar and grill even before that), multiple medical offices and labs, a vet and a well known dentist practice called Applewood Village Dentistry; this is a happening place with tons of free parking and easy access from the QEW. A Greyhound bus to NYC leaves from here too. The new renovations to the plaza completed in 2015 include new parking lots/resurfacing, softscaping with trees and pretty shrubs and extended parking for people who work here at the back of the plaza. Applewood Village Plaza does not have a concierge or a central phone number. It is managed by Effort Trust out of Hamilton, ON.
